Next stop - Wokurna, South Australia

Today we left Mildura and we hit the road. It rained most the way but we saw some interesting things. We saw the river that we camped at that morning but I couldn't recognise it because it was so much wider.

We went through a border crossing to get to South Australia, a man went through our car and caravan to make sure we weren't hiding any fruit or vegetables because the South Australian farmers don’t want any Fruit Flies in their farms.

Just as we were about to arrive we went past a sign which read: Cream Puff Corner. It had some very interesting history as to why it was named that.  Our stop that night was mum’s cousin Sean in Wokurna, South Australia.  It was a very long drive which was about 7 to 8 hours long. He has a very large block of land which was 2 and a half acres.  He lives in a house built in the 1890’s which is beautiful and also quite big.  The ceiling is 14 feet tall and made of tin with engraved patterns in it. The original owners of that house had 13 children, apparently that was popular in those days! Sean also had 7 cats, 5 chickens and 3 roosters. Something I learnt today was that South Australia is half an hour behind Victoria in time.
