End of The Gibb

Today we finally finished the Gibb River Road!  There was no damage to the van, but when we were on the sealed road a stone flicked up creating our second stone crack on our windscreen.

Our stop that night was at a large town called Kununurra and we stayed at Kimberlyland Holiday Park.  After we set up we went and visited the Zebra Rock Gallery.  The place was called Zebra Rock because they sell beautiful rocks with natural patterns on it that looks like Zebra stripes.  The rocks were sold as beautiful carvings, jewellery or just the stone itself.  While we were there we talked to a few cockatoos who would only say hello when you start to leave and loved to bite my hat.  We also went out onto the jetty and fed the fish some bread.  They weren't just ordinary fish there were way oversized catfish!  There was also some ordinary sized Archer Fish out the back but they didn't spit the water to knock the bread out of my hands because the catfish were to fast.  We also spotted a few turtles swimming peacefully around too.

That night we sat down a couple of metres away from our van and watched some live music in front of Lily Lagoon.  Just as the music ended, millions of Fruit Bats flew over our heads.  They stretched out as far as I could see, both ways and they just kept flying for over 30 minutes.
